The objectives of this WP are :
1. convening the Steering Committee and taking care of all the
preparatory work and minutes writing
2. collecting the material for all the Reports to the EU
3. receiving all payments by the Commission and administer the
Community Contribution according to the budgetary decisions of
the Steering Committee and the provisions of the Contract and
Consortium Agreement; keeping accounts of the fund distribution
among the Contractors
4. interacting with the Commission
5. making sure the Project evolves in a timely and satisfactory
way towards all the foreseen goals (including IP protection and
dissemination, see WP6) and otherwise activating all procedures
needed to take corrective steps
Description of work
Some of the objectives of this WP are closely related to the
role of the Coordinator and of the Steering Committee.
The Coordinator will be WP7 Leader. The work represented in
this WP is:
1) secretarial, accounting, consulting (financial and legal)
work supporting the action of the Coordinator
2) the work of the Coordinator himself in implementing the
above-mentioned objectives
3) work of the Steering Committee themselves, when dealing with
the non strictly day-by-day technical management of the Project
At the kick-off meeting, decision will be taken on several
issues, such as:
• Final designation of the WP leaders.
• Final designation of the representative of each partner in the
Steering Committee
• Decision concerning how the interaction among the Coordinator,
the Steering Committee and the WP leaders will be organized
during the “daily” life of the project
• Decision concerning the accounting procedures, the exchange of
information, project updates, etc
This initial discussion constitute Milestones 7.1. Due to its
important for the success of the full project, the results of
this discussion will be inserted in an internal document that
will serve as a guideline for project management throughout the
30 months of the project.
